Role & Responsibilities:
- Installation of POS systems (cash register, printers, Wi-Fi routers, telephone phones and tablets, etc.) running on Windows and Android.
- Troubleshoot, repair, or replace various hardware and software components at customer locations
- Troubleshooting network communication problems
- Hardware configuration for various hardware and software components
- Hardware pre-deployment setup and testing
- Customer training, technical support, problem solving and solution focused support
- Occasional sales presentations to prospective customers
- Reporting of opportunities to sales team
- Quote creation and administrative task tracking in internal company ERP system
- Call support and troubleshooting on Weekends and weeknights
- On-site service / After-sales service / troubleshooting
- Support & remote maintenance
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Full Driver’s license must have
- Reliable vehicle must have
- Familiar with the Windows environment
- Recognized skills in the installation and maintenance of computer equipment ideally cash registers
- Experience with POS systems is considered an asset
- Competence in Ethernet networks and routers: implementation of Wifi, configuration of firewalls
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (Minimum B2), German is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident and comfortable interacting with customers and users
- Ready to share with a collaborative team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work well independently and under pressure
- Capable of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving any issues that may arise
- Good interpersonal skills
